Operations Update: 6/19/20


Steps to prepare the School’s classrooms, facilities, and grounds for a safe return to campus are currently underway. The facilities and business offices are working to re-imagine classroom spaces with physical distancing in mind as well as strengthening IT infrastructure to support Parker Hybrid classrooms. A budget review is also underway, taking into consideration the additional costs associated with the Roadmap to Return to Campus.


The facilities team is prototyping new classroom configurations to maximize square footage and re-purpose campus spaces for classroom learning. Furniture is being moved and re-arranged, removing all soft-surface furniture, like couches, to deter close-proximity seating and replacing oversized furniture with smaller options to maximize the square footage of the space.


In support of our IT operations and infrastructure strategy, the School has partnered with Knowing Technologies; a managed IT service company that focuses primarily on independent schools. We will leverage their expertise and guidance to help us advance our instructional innovation as we prepare for Parker Hybrid.


Furthermore, Parker is reviewing all aspects of its day-to-day operations to ensure a safe return for the 2020-21 school year. Advancement and Admissions are reimagining events, including open house and campus visits and tours. A budget review is also underway, taking into consideration the additional costs associated with safeguarding the health and safety of our community returning to campus.
